June 2024 - life update 🌼
Well, now we finally have had time to edit the second video from our Norge på langs hike! In 9 days, it was one year since we started our long hike from the North Cape, and it feels quite crazy to think about.
But - what happened since Kim left Abisko and came back home?
First, Kim did the surgery to remove the cyst that was 13 cm in diameter, and also remove some endometrios tissue. The recovery has felt really slow and has been tough for her, but about a month after the surgery she could start working. She is still not 100% recovered but it is slowly getting better. Now it's been 6,5 weeks and today she went for her first run - yay 🎉🎉
Meanwhile, Lukas has done some updates on our camper van, some improvements that we have wanted to do for some time now. It is not 100% done but almost there. Already so much better!
On the hiking side as you might have guessed, not much has happened.
In May we went to ULcon - an event in Stockholm, organised by the big Swedish Facebook-group "Ultralätt utrustning" where we got to meet a lot of other hikers and mingle with them, as well as take a look at some different ultralight setups. Mainly tents but also some quilts and sleeping bags.
A few days ago we finally signed up for this year's Fjällträff/Diplomeringsträff, organised by Fjällfararnas Vita Gröna Band. This will take place 5-6 October this year and we are very much looking forward to meeting both current and future Gröna/Vita Bandare 🤩
Other than that Kim is at home and we're enjoying that we are living together again 😍
Except spending our days off together having fun, we're working and trying to save money so we can soon leave for the next adventure again 😏 Who knows, maybe that adventure will be already this winter. Time will tell! Now, summer is here and we better enjoy it while it lasts ☀️ 🌱🌳🍃
