Mästocka - Ekegården shelter

I woke up early. Actually earlier than Peter's alarm. I hadn't slept so well - it felt like I had been half awake, half asleep all night. So finally getting up felt like a relief.

I ran around, packing all my stuff together and having a lot of sandwiches for breakfast. Then, at 8 AM we were already ready to get going! Very impressive if I get to say so.

Today was cold but sunny, which was nice, but in the morning it was also very foggy.

After reaching Bollaltsbygget we took the road all the way to Knäred, where Peter had a cinnamon roll and I bought more Snickers, an ice cream and more hazelnut/chocolate spread. We then sat there on a bench in the sun while I ate a whole 400 ml ice cream on my own 😂

After passing Lagan, I recycled some packaging, took a geocache and then we found Gula Villan where we could refill some water. Somewhere here, I also passed 2500 km since Treriksröset! Crazy!

We then walked on and on, talking about all sorts of things, while my feet started protesting more and more loudly as we went on. After passing Eketsbygget we took a break to sit down, and then I pushed on the last bit, trying to ignore my tired feet. After what felt like an eternity we reached Smedjeån. Here we filled water to filter later, and not long after, we reached the shelter, where I just lay down to breathe for a few seconds. Again, we arrived before sunset, so we could pack up all our things and have dinner in the last rays of the day.
