Völån - Rosttjärnen hut

Via Mångsbodarna, Risberg

I woke up to a calm morning, with the sun greeting me when I finally decided to crawl out from my tent. It was so wonderful to finally get to see it again, after a week hidden behind clouds. It didn't last very long though, but I was happy I got to see it at all.

Today was a slow day, despite the good trail conditions that I was getting. To pass the time I surfed on my phone a lot while walking, which helped. Not much happened today. I met two people by a shelter that I said hi to, and in Mångsbodarna I took a loooong break and had lunch.

When I got going again, I was way more late than I'd meant to - as usual, so I walked even faster now to make up for it. I walked on a really cozy fäbod path, with signs that I had to stop and read along the way. Luckily, I'm quite a fast reader so I could soon keep going again. It was a really cool area though! After this, the road got more boring, and more hilly too, and the sun was about to set.

Finally, in the dim twilight I crossed through the old fäbodvallar in Risberg, which I believe to be an amazing area in summer, and came to Rosttjärnen hut. Here I hang up the tent to dry, made a fire and just generally chilled and took it slow. Unfortunately it soon became too hot for me, which made it almost impossible to sleep! 😬 So I lay awake several more hours, before finally falling asleep to the sound of some light rain outside.
