ERT Day 25
European Road Trip Day 25
Monday 25 July 2022
Today’s weather was nice and cool, and we stayed in the bed quite a while. When we got up we drove to Heiligenhafen, bought a looot of Biscoff spread and then Kim took a stroll around Heiligenhafen to complete an Adventure Lab Cache (also a geocache-thing). It was really cozy, and she got to see a lot of historical buildings around town.
Later we drove to Calle because Lukas wanted to buy some beer on the way home. Then we went to another store and bought even more biscoff spread because apparently we didn’t buy enough! 😂
We then went over to the northern end of the island, where Kim ran to take a geocache, and then back to the car again. Then straight onto the ferry to Denmark, and it left after like half an hour or so.
We sat down on the ferry for a while, but Lukas got restless so we went for a walk and some window shopping.
Then we entered into Denmark!
Lukas was tired so we soon changed driver and then she drove all the way to Denmark’s oldest geocache while Lukas was sleeping. Here Kim took a walk in the area and found a few other geocaches as well.
Lukas drove the last bit to the next ferry - over to Sweden (Helsingör - Helsingborg). He also drove the rest of the day while Kim wanted to stop here and there in different new municipalities. The weather was windy and rainy and just generally unpleasant, just like when we left Skåne over three weeks ago.
We ended the day by Fotastenen (The Foot Stone) in Småland. This was actually a rock carving, depicting footprints.
In the evening we slept surrounded by the forest, something that has been very missed.
