Day 37: Sunday 23 July 2023

Ritsem-Gårssåjávrre via Vájsáluokta

We spent the morning cleaning, eating breakfast and then a loooot of time trying to catch up with our blog posts.

Around noon we found a geocache and then made our way towards the boat. Here we said goodbye to Viktor who would be going home again.

On the boat we talked a bit with those who worked on the boat which was nice. We also could buy an ice cream, which we didn't have time to do in Ritsem before taking the boat.

We just reached Vájsáluoktastugan when we heard someone coming from the forest. It was Jonas and Sofia! Such crazy timing.

We sat there and talked to them and the cabin host for almost two hours, it was really nice to meet people you know on the trail.

The sun came back and it got really warm, but we had to continue. It was a lot of elevation gain, so it got really sweaty.

By some water we took a break and it was really nice with spoon chips, chocolate, ice tea among other things.

And the day continued in a good manner. We talked a lot and the trail got better. The evening was a bit chilly, but we had dinner on a rock, then continued 2 km so we could put up camp close to a lake. Here we cleaned ourselves a bit and had a really cozy evening in the tent 🥰
