NPL Day 84-86

Day 84-86: Friday 8 September 2023 to Sunday 10 September 2023

Rest days in Koster and family meetup

Friday:

We woke up at Dag and Roy's place and had a nice breakfast and a cozy calm morning with them. We packed our things and took the Metro back to the train station. There we took the train to Halden where we got picked up by Lukas mum Lotta, and her husband Stig. So nice to meet them 😍

We drove to Strömstad and took the ferry out to Koster. There were relatives to Lukas everywhere 😆 And it was nice to talk to everyone, but also a bit overwhelming with so many people at once.

At Koster we said hello to more people, then spent some time resting from all the impressions at the hut we were going to spend the weekend in.

In the evening we ate dinner with all the relatives and talked a lot. The sound level in the room was sky high, but other than that we had a great evening.

Saturday:

In the morning we got up and had breakfast with everyone. Some were still sleeping when we had our breakfast, and we spread out - some sitting inside and some outside, where it was easier to talk.

After breakfast, Kim went with Lotta and Stig to Sydkoster. A long walk visiting the store, the Naturum, finding a geocache and Lotta going swimming.

Lukas spent his time hanging out with a lot of relatives and going swimming on Nordkoster.

After that, everyone decided to go for lunch at the same time and chaos ensued.

In the end, we bought food at the supermarket while the others went to different restaurants for lunch.

Then we went back to our hut, where Kim spent time looking for jobs and Lukas drank beer and hung out with relatives.

In the evening we had dinner together everyone again, but this time we decided to sit outside. Some also sat outside, but most sat inside. Then it was time to watch some videos together.

After all that, someone said that there was a possibility to see mareel tonight. So many of us decided to go to the sea to have a look. It was truly a magical experience! ✨

Sunday:

Everyone was really tired today after staying up late. We dragged ourselves to the breakfast and after that it was chaos as everyone needed to leave and clean the whole place before that. We took a group photo together, then it was time for cleaning.

Most people left around 13, and after that, we stayed to help Lukas aunt and her husband finish cleaning so we could go back to Oslo with them. We took the ferry across at 15, and had some time in Strömstad to buy food and organise our bags. Around 17, Lukas aunt and husband arrived, and together we squeezed into their car and started the drive back to Oslo.

In Oslo we again stayed with Dag and Roy and had a nice evening together with dinner and a lot of talking. So nice to stay there ❤️
