TA Day 102

TA Day 102: Sunday 30 March 2025

Parker Road / Hakarimata Road - Northwest of Karihoa Island

We started the morning with a luxurious breakfast together with Patrik and Elisabeth. Last breakfast together, until we get back home! They drove us to where they picked us up the day before, and we hugged goodbye. It felt a bit hard to leave, but they needed to drive back to Auckland and the airport.

We did 15 km along the road without stopping even once. Then we reached a smaller road, a gravel road, and here we sat down for a well-needed break in the shade. We met a local runner who we talked to a bit, other than that, not a lot happened.

We followed the road until we reached a filter station. Here they had a long-drop and a tap with tap water, so we sat down to eat our dinner and drink some water.

Then it was time to walk the last part, into a pasture. The first part was quite bad, and we scrambled up and down and through some gorse, but then it got better.
