The morning was really nice, getting to wake up with Lukas again, and eat a proper breakfast. But we had to get moving though, even though I didn't want to!

It was raining when we started, but at least I had company this time, because Lukas was going to walk with me for the first 7 km. Even though it was raining, I was very warm, so I wasn't bothered, but I could feel that I wasn't used to altitude anymore from all the walking on roads and railway embarkments the last few days. Talking to and walking with Lukas was a nice change, I've really missed it. Too soon, we reached Åbostugan where my dad was already waiting.

We spent some time looking for a geocache we couldn't find, but then Lukas had to get back home, so we gave up the search. Once again, it was very emotional for me to say goodbye, and walking onwards felt really tough.

The rest of the day felt long and endless. Up and down, constantly raining and I was soon wet despite wearing the poncho on top of my rain gear. That was not the only thing, the trail was also terrible. Perhaps the worst trail conditions ever since Treriksröset. Or at least it felt so. Incredibly wet, puddles of water and creeks in the trail almost everywhere. Slippery stones, slippery footbridges, slippery roots and slippery mud. Despite trying to be careful I slipped all the time, and fell twice. The second time it hurt quite a lot, and several times today I swore over the trail. It was no fun.

As it began to get darker it felt like the shelter I had as a goal would never come, but finally it did. I spent some time just sitting there, not doing anything in particular, just breathing and being happy that I made it. The shitty day was finally over, and I wished for a better day tomorrow.
