GB Day 22:

Via Stáloluokta

Woke up later than ever today. During the night, all of us woke up from a heavy but short rain that fell over us, but then continued sleeping. When we went up the rain had stopped. We found some picnic tables to have breakfast by, and just before leaving we had a little bit more rain.

We headed off, and Kim soon started feeling really warm, since we were once more slowly ascending and descending a mountain side. She decided to take the chance, and removed her rain jacket, and switched over from pants to shorts. She then managed to wear them all the way to Stáloluokta. On the way there, she got some strange looks from passers-by that wore all their rain gear... (It wasn't raining though)

In Stáloluokta we found that Parfas kiosk didn't open until 16, and we were about 1,5 hour early, so we decided to eat lunch first, and then shop. At the lunch table the guys found an abandoned knife they decided was perfect for "the knife dance" - some game not completely unlike Twister. So after eating, they played this game for a few minutes until the little store opened.

Here they sold a lot of different things, and it was hard making up our minds. In the end Lukas and Kim bought 200 grams of chocolate and one soda each, as well as tortellini and reindeer meat.

After Stáloluokta we got going again, and this time the time passed quicker because we were talking about interesting things and did a guessing-game.

When we passed the bridge over Bållávrjåhkå we started to look for tent spots, and found one fairly quickly that wasn't too close to another tent. After putting up the tents, Lukas and Johannes went away to swim in the jokk. After the jokk there was like a lake, in which they dove into and then floated along with the stream. It was also raining.

After the swimming, we all sat down to have some dinner, in our case another tortilla and soup today before crawling into our tents to sleep.
