NPL Day 16

NPL Day 16: Sunday 2 July 2023

Kautokeino-Čunovuohppi

Today we had a slow morning in bed and enjoyed sleeping inside. But, the window had been open during the night, and it had been a really cold night, so we didn't sleep too good...

After getting up, we worked on leaving the hut before 11. After that we moved ourselves and our stuff to the "grillkåta". We had asked the owner of the camping if we could leave later, which was okay, as long as the cabin was ready for the next guests when they would come. So we spent the day hanging out in the common areas. We had breakfast, video called our friend Johannes, Kim made her hair, we did some reaserch, we posted both on Instagram and on the blog... Yeah, it was a lot. Especially uploading the pictures to the blog took foreeever.

When we were finally on our way it felt good, and on our way we for once didn't have burning hot sun, but rather "regular" mountain weather.

On the way we decided not to follow the trail, but rather take the road as many had suggestioned. Or rather, we took one of the smaller ones, a dirt road on the right side of the main road. There, we passed a huuuge new building, showing up pretty much out of nowhere in the forest. We read that it was going to be a theatre and higher education.
