NPL Day 49 & GB Day 25

Day 49: Friday 4 August 2023

Umbukta-south of Skukkenrøysa

Cozy morning and a shower before eating breakfast together with Hans Viktor. It was so nice that they had put everything on the table where we three sat, so we didn't have to move anywhere while having breakfast. We had coffee, hot chocolate, juice, bread and a lot of things to put on it.

After breakfast we started packing our things and Lukas tried to call Matbussen again to make sure that our order would be on the bus.

While Lukas got a ride to Matbussen, Kim stayed back and tried to pack her things, clean her socks better and wrote blog posts. The bus arrived just inside the Swedish border, and Lukas picked up our food, and bought some more snacks and some things for Hans Viktor.

When Lukas came back, we stayed in our room and talked to Hans Viktor and tried to upload pictures on the blog at the same time. There was no checkout time so we didn't rush. The nice lady there asked us if we were staying one more night, and we answered that we were just doing some updates and charging our electronics and that we could leave whenever she wanted us to leave. She came one more time and saw us still in the room, at four in the afternoon. That time she just sighed loudly and left again 😅😂 Now we left the room and sat outside for just a little bit longer. The third time she came back she just laughed and started to clean our room. We said goodbye to Hans and soon after started to hike.

Some drizzle came and left, and when we were up above the tree level we started to walk off trail (the shortcut Morgan had told us about). We walked for about half a km in the compact fog and didn't see very far, so we pitched our tent and said that if the fog was still there in the morning we would turn back and take the path instead.
