Thoughts from Børgefjell 💭
Some people think that when you're long-distance hiking you are mostly being inspiring, and can't be inspired by others.
But you definitely can, and in Børgefjell we met a woman who asked us what time it was.
So apparently she and her company were out hiking in Børgefjell for three weeks, carrying everything except for one resupply box. They didn't have ANY electronic devices at all with them, not even a watch.
That made us think about all the electronic devices that we have (drone, GoPro, 2 phones, 3 powerbanks, cables, gps-watch, Garmin Inreach...) and that if we didn't have them we would probably only carry a map, compass, playing cards, notebook and a pocket book.
Such an interesting way of hiking, to be in an area for a long time, and the only thing that matters is the here and now. What the weather is like, what your body feels like and if it is light or dark outside.
It is so very different from what we are doing, and similar to an idea that we had discussed before. At some point we need to try to go to a place and stay there for some time. Be in the moment, enjoy the place and don't have any pressure to hike a certain distance everyday.
Maybe at some point, we'll have the possibility to try that. Who knows.
