GB Day 31:

Just as yesterday, Kim didn't sleep well and woke up being super swetty. Tent /is/ better now.

Sometime after 9 AM we got up and had a long breakfast. While we ate we saw Karro and Robban get going, and we wondered whether we'd get to see them again.

After packing up and cleaning, we talked a little bit to Anna, Gustaf and Pontus. Just before we started walking, the rain that had been raining on and off during the morning, came back again. We thought the start of today was going to be tough, because on the map it looked steep and foresty. It wasn't as bad as we had expected though.

At the Pieljekaise shelter - the one outside of the national park we found a geocache. So it was a short break before moving on again. When we were almost at the next shelter - the one inside the national park, we met another Gröna Bandare! It was Ted Weirum, and we had quite a talk in the rain before we decided it was time to move on because we were all getting cold.

We continued to the shelter, and had planned to just take a look and go inside so Kim could put on her rain pants and let her shorts dry up a little bit, but just as we were about to go inside a familiar couple came out. It was Karro and Robban! We spoke to them a little bit to catch up on what we had missed, then we walked yo-yo with them again. At one point when we had a head start, we met Kristoffer Sandén who also walks Gröna Bandet. We also met another guy walking Kungsleden, and while we talked to them, Karro and Robban raced past us.

When we decided we were done talking - it was still raining so we were getting cold again, we walked on, followed an ATV road for a while until we finally stepped foot on asphalt. While we walked on the road through Adolfström we walked past several places renting out cabins, and we were thinking about how nice it would be to sleep inside now when we were completely wet, and we had heard there weren't any camping spots until Bäverholmen which was 8 km away. But we walked on.

Just as we walked past the last cabin place and had decided to look for some shitty camp spot anyway, Lukas' phone dinged. It was Robban, saying they got a room with 4 beds!

Can't say no to that.

Getting to dry up our soaked clothes and gear was great, and also getting to shower and eat inside.
