Rest day in Waikanae

Today is rest day, and of course we slept in!

Today we needed to send a package with Kim's old phone and some equipment that we don't think we need anymore to Auckland where we have the rest of our things stored at a trail angel. But unfortunately we realised a little too late that it is weekend, and that the store that takes packages would close soon...

So Kim got really stressed out, and tried to figure out what files and whatnot that she needed to move from her old phone to her new phone. She had about an hour to figure it out and transfer the last files...

Then off we went to the store/post office to pack everything. At least once the package was off, it felt a bit better. Now there was nothing more to do about it.

So we went back home, Lukas made brunch for us, did laundry, we showered and ate ice cream in the sun.

Then Lukas went and bought us Indian takeaway which was really nice, with some garlic naan. And went to resupply, getting the last things for the upcoming Tararua Ranges.

A zero day which was very needed in several ways.
